Mixed Media ICAD 2020

What is ICAD? ICAD stands for Index Card A Day. It is an art challenge that Tammy Garcia from Daisy Yellow Art founded in 2011. Yep this year Tammy celebrates 9 years of doing ICAD. She creates prompts for those participating in the art challenge where we art onto index cards every day during the months of June and July. 61 days of small pieces of art on index cards. Last year I did my own thing, not following Tammy’s prompts and focusing more on Mixed Media. I was so taken with the whole process I though others might be as well. So, this year I created my own Mixed Media based prompts and posted them each week over on my Instagram. I used artwork from my 2019 mixed media style icad’s in the background of each prompt list for each week.

Anyone who played along used the #mixedmediaicad2020 . It was incredibly fun to see how many people got involved and I was doubly inspired by not only what I learned as I arted each day but also from all the mixed media icad’s others created.

This year I even videotaped a handful of them as I created and posted them to my YouTube channel. Below is the playlist for all of those I videotaped.
